– AUDI QUATTRO S1 E2 RALLY LOMBARD 1985 REPLICA –

Recreación de la conocida unidad RE 10, el décimo de los 20 coches producidos oficialmente por Audi, participando únicamente en el 41º Rally Lombard RAC a manos de Hannu Mikkola.

Esta recreación ha pasado por complejos procesos de fabricación al convertirlo a un modelo de chasis corto.

Su base es la de un Audi Coupe GT, acortado respetando las medidas exactas del original Audi S1 E2, se ha reemplazado el pilar A con el de un Audi 80, y los bajos del vehículo son los de un Audi Ur Quattro por lo que está convertido a tracción total.

Está réplica ha basado todo su proceso de creación y restauración en la del original Audi Quattro S1 E2, ya que durante todo el proceso de fabricación, ha tenido la unidad RE 10 como ejemplo directo.

El vehículo se encuentra en estos momentos en fase de proyecto, cuenta con toda la mecánica, electrónica y tren motriz pendiente de instalar y desarrollar, las piezas provienen de un Audi S2 y Audi S4.

Esta réplica cuenta con todo el kit de fibra basado en el original S1 E2, tiene techo de Kevlar y toda la aerodinámica es funcional.

La jaula del vehículo es IRECO Motorsport homologada por la FIA, y los asientos son GP Racing nuevos aunque están caducados ya que tienen 7 años.

Toda la restauración se llevó a cabo en un largo y complejo proceso de 9 años y no ha pisado carretera, desde la restauración el vehículo ha recorrido 0 KM.

Toda la carrocería ha sido restaurada con un extenso proceso de soldadura, chorreo y al horno.

Las llantas son originales Compomotive y monta neumáticos TOYO.

El salpicadero del vehículo está pendiente de montar todos los relojes a gusto del nuevo propietario.

Los faros delanteros son originales HELLA y cuenta con 4 luces largas y 2 para niebla.

Las ventanillas de esta recreación son de policarbonato de 4mm respetando la normativa de la FIA.

Recreation of the well known RE 10 unit, the tenth of the 20 cars officially produced by Audi, participating only in the 41st Lombard RAC Rally in the hands of Hannu Mikkola.

This recreation has undergone complex manufacturing processes by converting it to a short chassis model.

Audi Coupe GT base, shortened to the exact dimensions of the original Audi S1 E2, the A-pillar has been replaced with that an Audi 80, and the underbody of the car is from an Audi Ur Quattro so it is converted to all-wheel drive.

This replica has based its entire creation and restoration process on that of the original Audi Quattro S1 E2, as throughout the manufacturing process, it has had the RE 10 unit as a direct example.

The vehicle is currently in the project phase, with all the mechanics, electronics and powertrain still to be installed and developed, the parts come from an Audi S2 and Audi S4.

This replica has all the fibre kit based on the original S1 E2, has a Kevlar roof and all the aerodynamics are functional.

The roll cage is FIA homologated IRECO Motorsport, and the seats are new GP Racing seats although they are out of date as they are 7 years old.

The whole restoration was carried out in a long and complex process of 9 years and has not been yet on the road, since the restoration the car has covered 0 KM.

All the bodywork has been restored with an extensive welding, blasting and baking process.

The wheels are original Compomotive and it is fitted with TOYO tyres.

The dashboard of the car is still to be fitted with all the clocks to the new owner’s liking.

The headlights are original HELLA and it has 4 high beams and 2 fog lights.

The windows of this recreation are made of 4mm polycarbonate in compliance with FIA regulations.
